These are step-by-step examples of some of the tasks that the Just a Minute is designed to perform.

Tutorial 1  (PDF 1.1 Mb)
Investigate Alpine Egernia. 
• Find the animal in Just a Minute – Victorian Animals. 
• Print a copy of a photograph and written description of the species. 
• Plot the distribution of the species on a map tile. 
• Print a copy of the map tile on where the species has been found.
The products of this task should be:
• A printed page, with a written description and photograph of Alpine Egernia
• A printed page, with the distribution of Alpine Egernia plotted as one-minute grids on a 1:100,000 map tile. 

Tutorial 2  (PDF 1.3 Mb)
The Baluk Willam Nature Conservation Reserve is well-known for its orchids. Use Just a Minute – Victorian Plants to crate a list of all orchid species found in the reserve. 
• Find the location of Baluk Willam reserve 
• Select a number of grids which cover the reserve
• Search for all species in the reserve
• Filter the species list so that only orchids are displayed
• Export the list as a CSV (comma separated values) file
The products of this task should be:
• A CSV file containing the scientific name, common name, conservation status and most recent recording date for all orchid species from the Baluk Willam N.C.R.

Tutorial 3  (PDF 1.2 Mb)
You are in the Langhi Ghiran park and have found a small, non-woody plant with tiny blue flowers in tight clusters at the ends of the stems. Use the Just a Minute – Victorian Plants package to find out what it is.
• Find the location of Langhi Ghiran park. 
• Select a number of grids which cover the park
• Search for all species in the park
• Run the Filters part of the program and select Medium Forb/Herb, Cluster Flowers and Blue Flowers
• View the results and determine whether the plant you see is the one in the park
The products of this task should be:
• A photograph and description of Brunonia australis which can be printed if you wish.
