These pictures are mostly 800 x 600
(or 600 x 800) pixels in size and are suitable for printed publications where a
small image is required.
Print Size
Most printed publications reproduce
images at 250 to 300 dpi (dots per inch). This means that the
images could be reproduced at a size of about:
- 70 x 50 mm (2.7 x 2
inches) if they are printed at 300 dpi or
- 80 x 60 mm (3.2 x 2.4 inches)
if printed at 250 dpi.
Printed Products
Images of this size have been used
principally for A4 folder brochures, A2 or A1 posters
where many pictures are required and small field guides and handbooks. |
